Shows the suffering of all the people who are and were affected by these terrible disasters.
|The best and worst pic I could google to describe my condition|
I am on a phone call with my friend right now and her sister just woke up and I don’t know why but she is one of my worst enemies ever so the call is on hold and the milk is boiling and I am here having breakfast while typing this article. I am also charging my phone with the laptop which has a song playing plus earphones are plugged in thanks to the call… add one more thing, Ufone computer operator is continuously saying ” Baray Mehrbaani intazaar kijiye, please wait’ .. While I am shouting back that I AM waiting but the computer won’t listen. Chaos, I know.
Okay that was a lame start but anyways.
Don’t want to write anything serious, but I know I will end up doing so.
Yes I have a good news too. Finally Finding Neverland Blog reached 600,000 blog views from 207 countries around the world. With 550+ posts (I am sure 450 of those are written by me) from 35 writers living in 12 different countries and all that just in 2 years! I consider this an achievement. Thanks Allah and thanks everyone for your constant support throughout.
These have been busy days for me, although there has been nothing much going on still this routine is tiring and barely gives me time to think about anything.
Still in search of a Tailor named Taylor, just telling.
Minor things remind me about this boy who I saw a few days back, he adds to the list of people who actually taught me something in life. I guess I should tell about him in another post, a proper one.
But it is fun to see people get excited about Cricket (At least we Pakistani do get excited about something) as if it actually means something to them. Arguing with me, debating, just makes my belief stronger that Cricket is the only thing left that unites us as a nation.
I actually feel like writing a lot but guess it will become a long post, a useless one.
|Pardon the language, couldn’t find anything appropriate.|
By the way I was always curious about what karma is and what actually is the concept but other day this interesting thing happened and finally made me believe that Karma exists. You get what you give, whether it’s bad or good.
Avoiding soft drinks is the most difficult thing to do in this world, like seriously. Just Saying.
I don’t get along with quotes well and here is another example, a famous Chinese quote goes by ‘ 寧我負人，毋人負我. It translates to ” I’d rather do wrong to others than allow them to do wrong to me. “ My philosophy is that let people do whatever they want to and you just be good to everyone. In Chinese it will go by “ 让人做任何他们想要的和你刚才大家好.
Pakistan is going through difficult times. The future looks bleak. Hope seems to be a luxury we cannot afford” – Statements such as these are common these days.
However, I tend to disagree. I don’t believe there’s anything as bad about Pakistan that can’t be fixed by what’s good about it. Pakistan is a beautiful country that has proven to be the epitome of resilience in the most difficult of times.

I was trying to sleep last night but I couldn’t. It was such a strange feeling, this thought in my mind was the reason of my restlessness.
It is so easy to be a shia, sunni, punjabi pathan these days, what we find more difficult is being a Pakistani, a Muslim or even a normal human being.
We are good at complicating things aren’t we? Small things gradually leads to bigger things, but we are always in search of big things without laying down a foundation.
Guess I finally got the answer.
We all define Islam in our way. We believe in one god, one prophet and one quran but still our Islam is different. We all consider each other ‘kaafir’ , we offer prayers in a mosque but my mosque is different, your mosque is different, sunni mosque is different, shia mosque is different, Ahl-E-Hadess mosque is different and barailvi mosque will be different. We bow before one god but we call others non Muslim because they are not offering prayers like we do.
We don’t even know the true meaning of Islam but we are ready to kill people for it, we are ready to take a rifle, block the streets for hours to ‘help’ Islam.
Islam is peace, and peace doesn’t come your way until you have a smile on your face, you have a big heart or you are open minded. We should be tolerant, that is what we are missing in our lives.
Is it that difficult for us? What are we at? Instead of making ourselves better, we try to find faults in others. We have the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) right in front of us.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spent 40 years of his life as a normal human being and gained credibility. You lived 2/3 of your life in the most illiterate society, and gained the credibility of being truthful, honest, humble, kind, pious, patient, decent, trustworthy and all the good things.
It was after this, that Allah bestowed you as a messenger. When the event of Shab E Mairaj took place, everyone denied it. But everyone was sure that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has never lied in his life, that he is truthful. This was the foundation of Islam. Character is first, other things follow.
But look at our selves. Instead of being a better human and better Muslim or giving importance to character, we are arguing who is a better Muslim, or even who is a Muslim, who is right and who is wrong, pity!
There was only one mosque in the city of Madina, but we have mosques in every second street, yet we are at the worst level of being a Muslim.
How many of us understand Quran, the true meaning of it, the message in it? I guess very few.
We don’t offer prayers regularly, if we do, we don’t give zakaat, if we give zakaat, we don’t fast. If we do all the duties right, we are rude to others we don’t stay clean, we abuse, we backbite, we lie, we cheat.
We follow Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who brushed his teeth before dying, who never wasted a single moment in his life, who stitched his own clothes and shoes, who just to see if his daughter is alright went back home several times a day, who used to have tears in his eyes whenever he saw an orphan, this is Islam.
Who was so trustworthy that even your worst enemies used to shout ‘Muhammad, Muhammad’ whenever someone asked about the most trustworthy, who was so simple that he used to wash bedsheets of non Muslim guests who stayed at Masjid E Nabwi, this is Islam.
Once a poor man came to you for help, you sold his blanket and stuff, bought him an axe and asked him to go earn an honorable living. It was you who ordered us to keep our eyes down, remove stones and stuff from the road if we see any, respect women, this is Islam.
An old woman used to throw rubbish on you everyday, one day when she didn’t you got worried, went to her house, asked after her health, this is Islam.
It was you who forgave everyone when you invaded Makkah. It was you who forgave your biggest enemy Abu Sufiyan, and called his house ‘Dar ul Amaan’, who forgave the killer of Hazrat Hamza (RA). It was you who was praying for the people of Taif, when they were throwing stones at you, this is Islam.
There wasn’t even a single person on planet earth who would have said Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has hurt me, this is Islam.
Yes this Islam, so simple, no complications. We can do so much, we can stop others making fun of us just by our own character, we can actually promote Islam as the religion of peace by our own efforts. There is nothing left to say now. Hope Allah guides us and makes us lucky enough to follow the foot steps of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Why do the echoes of the past still sound this loud in my ears? I ask myself, this and much more. Sometimes my heart gives me answers, which at other times seem not right at all. The mystery never fully unveils itself… Why can’t the past remain the past? Why does it keep coming back again and again? Can’t it somehow be trapped in the leash of those gone years?
After all we are humans..
Writing about Pakistan is always emotional, you know you can write a lot, the good and the bad things. You know you have a lot to let out, share your thoughts. In my opinion, this has become a fashion now, sharing our thoughts.
Things have changed now, what we need is to tell the world that we are not what everyone thinks we are, that we are much more than just a terrorist or a failed state.
What we need is to actually show the world our good side. Pakistan means the ‘land of pure’ and to be very honest it still has all the potential to be one.
What the world see is that Pakistan produces terrorist. But they should know that Pakistanis are the most talented people, who easily have the most potential in any field. They just don’t have enough opportunities but when they find any, they prove their worth. We are the 7th largest pool of Engineers, doctors and scientists in the world.
Pakistan is easily the only one country in this world where people come upto the definition of being ‘patriotic’, they love their country and they prove it. They celebrate the independence day like no one else does, flags all over our houses, cars and bikes … Lighting up the buildings and streets, colorful batches and stickers. Music solely dedicated to Pakistan, all the patriotic songs, this only happens in Pakistan.
A Pakistani will always be a Pakistani, no matter in which part of the world you live, if you have ever visited Pakistan or you can’t go back you just love Pakistan, you have the feeling, that proud feeling of being a Pakistani with you till the very last day of your lives.
We are the bravest people in the world. Living our lives in the midst of terrorist attacks, bomb blasts, target killings is not easy, things are easier said than done but we Pakistani prove it.
A place where people stand united in the toughest of times and the happiest of times. Be it a natural disaster be it a cricket match victory Pakistanis will stand by each other. They will forget what cast they are, what religion they belong to, what province they are.. they’ll just help in the toughest of times and enjoy in the happiest of times, together!
Pakistan has World’s 5th largest coal reserves. World’s largest CNG Operator. World’s largest run ambulance network by Edhi, 7th largest Pool of Scientists and Engineers. Largest WiiMax Network in the World, 30 million internet users, world’s fourth-largest milk producer.
If that is not enough ..
K2 the 2nd highest mountain peak in the World. Nanga Parbat 9th Highest Peak in the World. Haleji Lake is Asia’s largest Bird Sanctuary. Aansu late is the highest lake of the world. Thar Desert is amongst the largest deserts in the World. World’s highest Polo ground at Shandur, World’s Largest Deep Sea Port in Gwader. Second Largest Salt Mine in the World in Khewra Mines.Tarbela Dam is the World’s largest earth filled dam and 2nd largest dam overall.
The only country that was World Champion In cricket, Olympic and word champion in hockey, Snooker and Squash world champion all at the same time! That without any facilities and infrastructure has produced World greats in sports.
Air Commodore MM Alam has a world record of shooting down 5 Indian planes in less than a Minute.World’s youngest certified Microsoft Experts Arfa Kareem and Babar Iqbal are from Pakistan.
More than 60 languages are spoken in Pakistan. People from all types of religions and areas live in this country, The land of oldest Civilization : Indus Valley and Mohen-jo-Daro. it easily has the world’s most diverse culture.
You can go on and on about Pakistan..
Just like anyone else we are peace loving people, and we sacrifice the most to bring peace in this world. Losing more than 50000 innocent lives because of war against terrorism, losing more than 8000 army men in this war, we have given a lot.
It is time that the world recognize our efforts, what we have done and are doing, to appreciate our sincere efforts and instead of blaming us, help us. But most importantly respect Pakistanis they way we deserve.
It is also time for us to stand up for our country, instead of criticizing the things going on, change them. Instead of blaming others, sort out our own problems, instead of just sitting and ignoring, do something!
Happy Independence day to the best ever country with the best ever people in this World!
